Hello, fellow Sigma members!
The spring and summer months have been challenging for many because of the COVID-19 pandemic. As nurses, we strive for the safety of our patients, families, and friends. As nurse leaders, we also focus on protecting the safety of nurses and building on our already compassionate competent care by being role models for others. In the state of the pandemic, there are many variables in the health care field, and now is the time to be an active participant of your local nursing community!
The Sigma Theta Tau Chapter at the College of St. Scholastica is inviting you to collaborate with other nurse leaders and participate as a board committee member! The time commitment to becoming a board member varies month to month and is different for each board position, but not more than 10 hours per month and requires an hour meeting each month with the board. Becoming a board member is super beneficial! You will have opportunities to network with fellow nurse leaders, students, and faculty, build relationships with others who are committed to pursuing leadership and academics, as well as obtain a great resume builder! The following leadership board positions are open for more than one spot:
-Vice President
-Counselor
-Governor
-Convention Delegate
-Governance Committee
-Membership Involvement
-Leadership Succession Committee
